The Polar Bear Run is open to the general public and is open to all motorcyclists.
The 30th annual Polar Bear Run will be held on New Year’s Day. Sign-in and registration is open from 10:00 a.m. till noon at Cycle Gear located on SE 89th and Stark Street. Click here for directions. The Polar Bear Run is a self-guided tour for individual riders or groups.
Each year, the road captains of Trinity Road Riders design unique ride routes. You can choose to ride 1 of 3 rides; the Papa Bear (approximately 110 miles), the Momma Bear (about half of that), and the Baby Bear (the shortest ride). The ride routes are different each year, but always end at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria in Oregon City.
Entrants will receive the Polar Bear Run pin and/or year bar and route sheet. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy fellowship among fellow riders, food at the start, and to celebrate the first ride of the year over great pizza at the conclusion.
Polar Bear Run T-Shirts are also a very popular item at the event. Each year, short and long sleeve shirts are available for sale with the current year’s artwork.
THIS IS NOT A RACE. All participants are encouraged to observe all traffic laws. We reserve the right to refuse entry. On the day of event, only cash or checks are accepted; credit cards accepted only through preregistration. All minors who want to participate in this event must be accompanied by a parent or an adult carrying notarized authorization to sign on the parent's behalf. No minors are allowed to register as a participant unless these requirements are met.
For more information on the Polar Bear Run, please send us an e-mail or give us a call.
Registration includes ride pin and/or year bar for the first 700 participants. You can pre-register with a credit card or by check and save time at sign-up by avoiding the line at registration.
Collector T-Shirts (short and long sleeve) with this year’s artwork will be available at the ride. You may also pre-order T-Shirts in order to reserve your size.
